Oak Island Couple Sunset Session

The Oak Island sunset never disappoints. It is the perfect ending to a hot and humid Carolina day. Although most find the sunset to be calming and peaceful, I see a sunset as one of mother nature’s greatest thrills. I find excitement in a sunset because every second is different. The sky transforms from a bright blue, to golden yellow, then hot pink and finally a deep red. The sun scoots across the sky as it falls. The trees and dunes turn slowly into silhouettes.  This gorgeous June evening’s sunset was one of the prettiest I’ve seen. And, although the sky was always changing, one thing didn’t: Bailie and Chase.

Chase held both her hands tightly and gazed down at Bailie. His eyes were met with hers, which had a sparkle brighter than every star. She looked like a goddess, and not because of her pink dress flowing in the breeze or her beautiful flower crown, but because she could see the love in his eyes.

Moments like these were sprinkled throughout our session when the camera was on, and off of them. Their stories of Chase saving Bailie from a giant snake while fishing, and Chase buying apples (that he would immediately toss) from Bailie’s work just to see her before they started dating had me laughing out loud. So did Chase’s finger tattoo of a mustache that managed to make an appearance in a few pictures (sorry Chase, I left them out of the blog!). These two were a blast to work with and get to know.

Bailie and Chase, I hope your every day life is filled with as many giggles and kisses as your session! Let every sunset remind you that, although life constantly changes, your love doesn’t have to.
