Extended Family Session at the Oak Island Lighthouse

The summer seems to last forever here. The Island is peaceful and quiet and the sun still warms you like a hot summer day. But this isn’t an Oak Island brag post, it is a Mom brag post!

Extended family sessions are booked mostly by the Mom with the smallest kids. As if she doesn’t have enough to do to get ready for her vacation, she books me to capture a moment in time in paradise!

Maybe it’s because she wants at least one photograph with the family all together.

Maybe it’s because she wants to document her baby’s every little milestone and, for the first time, she realizes how fast time flies.

Maybe it’s because she is always the one behind the lens snapping the photos of her family and she just wants to be in the photo this time.

Maybe it’s because Moms are literally superheroes and do everything for everyone else all of the time.

This Mamma was all of the above. Jami was the sweetest from the moment she reached out to me. It was evident that family was important to her and being together meant the world to her. During her session, the love for her family and her little baby Archer (who I’m sure isn’t so little now) was so clear and I was honored to be able to capture her love and these special moments in her photographs.

So for the first time, in probably quite a while, Jami wasn’t behind the camera, rather with her beautiful family, frozen in time in the most gorgeous place on earth!
