I traded the sand and the warmth for a place
still beating quietly in my heart, a place with so much memory and
love that I couldn’t stay away. something always whispered
you need to go back, and so
I listened. I can’t say I don’t miss the salt air and sun, but I also
can’t deny the way the heat of the woodstove wraps around me like a hug.
let me share with
you my rediscovering of the place that shaped me with you. here I
go, standing inside the biggest becoming of my life.
I’m beaming with excitement,
ready to gather moments like wildflowers and keep them forever in photographs,
for families walking the same fields and forests that held my childhood family’s laughter.
A calling so tender, it gives me
life. I am so excited
for every human who will become a story, every family who will trust
me with their quiet, ordinary magic. I am filled
with hope for the seasons ahead, here in CT. Let me capture
you and the ones you love, in a place that feels like home.
