On my way to Huntington State Park, this sweet Mama texted me that it was pouring and she was devastated. But knowing the wishy washy coastal weather, we decided to carry on and am I so glad that we did.
Huntington Beach- usually bustling with vacationers, locals, and others-was the most quiet I had ever seen it. When the rain cleared and we got on the beach the pink sun glowed behind the swaying dunes, a slight rainbow reached down to meet the ocean, and when the sun was gone the ocean glowed the most beautiful blue. The rain didn’t spoil our evening- it brought the most perfect touches that made the night special.
But nothing was as special as this family and their love for each other. Their smiles and laughter filled the air as they played in the surf and raced down the beach. Twins, Clara and Conner, hugged on each other as they admired the beautiful rainbow. Mimi and PopPop played with their grand babies as Chris and Erin snuck away for some photos of their own.
It was truly a wonderful evening that even some rain, okay let’s be honest-a downpour, couldn’t spoil.
