Luis & Marlene

The intimate wedding of Luis and Marlene was a beautiful one. The vows took place in a quaint gazebo in Elizabeth Park in Hartford, Connecticut. The roses and all sorts of beautiful flowers in bloom popped out against the gorgeous fall foliage. It was the perfect backdrop. The ceremony was entirely in Spanish, but I was able to follow along using the smiles, kisses and happy tears as translation. My favorite part of the ceremony (which was unfamiliar to me) was when Luis called Marlene’s parents, who were back in Peru. It was so touching that the attendants, me included, found it hard to hold back tears. I am so honored to have photographed such a lovely day in this couple’s lives.
