FAQ

What if I’m not sure how to pose or don’t feel comfortable in front of the camera?

Have no fear! I am NOT going to throw you in front of my camera and click away. I love to give my families and couples prompts, like “tickle fight,” or “lead your lady to the ocean by the hand and stop for a kiss.”  These techniques result in really great photos without appearing  stiff, uncomfortable, and overly posed. I must warn you that you may feel silly doing it, but the photos look great!

What if there is inclement weather during my scheduled session?

Southern weather–am I right? It can be so unpredictable, but also very fast moving. I only schedule 2-3 shoots a week so that there will be room to reschedule during the week if the weather doesn’t cooperate. I am located on Oak Island, so I can be very flexible if the session needs to be pushed off 30 minutes or start 15 minutes early. If your session is scheduled while you are on vacation, I would suggest that you book your session earlier in the week so that there is plenty of time to reschedule if we need to.

What do I wear for my session?

When you book a session with me, I provide you with a Client Experience Guide which includes all of my outfit advice! In the meantime, you can look on Pinterest or Instagram to get started.

Do I have to pay extra for my photos?

Your collection includes a certain number of digital images for you to select and download. If you would like to purchase more images beyond from your session beyond that, you will be able to do so for an added cost!

Do you offer just a quick mini session?

A mini session is  a clustered group of bookings at the same time. I hold mini sessions a few times a year for fall and Christmas with specific themes, but I do not offer mini sessions in place of a normally timed and priced session.

How long does it take to receive my photos after a session?

My contract states 30 days to deliver your photos, but I do my best to stay ahead of schedule!

Can you edit parts of my body that I don’t like?

No! As an artist, I truly believe that every human is beautiful as is. If you feel particularly insecure about a part of your body, please let me know ahead of time so I can be aware during our shoot! I will do my best to pose you in a way that will flatter you.  I edit out other people on the beach, wild fly aways or maybe a stray phone in a pocket, but I do not do body altering adjustments.

Are our digital photographs watermarked?

Your photographs will be watermarked while viewing in your online gallery. Once you choose and download your high resolution images they will not bear a watermark.

What if I am bad with technology and don’t want to download digitally?

You can upgrade your collection to include a mailed flashdrive of the images if you do not want to deal with downloading them from the internet. You may also want to add one just for a parent or grandparent who is not as good with technology as you are!

How do I order prints?

In your online gallery for downloading your digital images, there is a cart/ordering system for prints. You can order prints directly through your online gallery. You also have the ability to print through a lab of your choice, but I strongly suggest printing through a professional lab for great quality prints that you deserve!

Can I bring my pet to my session?

Absolutely! I suggest having an extra hand who can help look after your fur baby while you are getting photos without them or take them if they are not cooperating. I highly suggest bringing a neutral colored leash so that it is not an eye sore in your photos!
